Brand needs approval request but the brand requesting isn’t the brand of the item

I’ve been going through my inventory and noticed a couple of items were inactive with needing approval. When I click through to request approval the Brand I’m requesting isn’t the actual Brand of the item. It’s some random name, some of aren’t even close.

I haven’t seen this before. Is this normal? Or, is it some random seller trying to block other sellers?
