FBA vs FBM for a wholesale product

A question for the people that are not doing private label, will someone doing FBA always win the buy box against someone doing FBM for a wholesale product?

If not what do you guys think as a percentage that i can price above this FBM competitor and still win the buy box via FBA(assuming all the other factors deciding the buy box are the same for both sellers.)
