Just starting out and would like to earn 5k in profits any advice or tips for getting started or things to read that helped you get started? or even a reality check if you think that’s warranted.

I’m a developer and tech worker that was recently laid off and looking to diversify my income stream as I look for work. willing to put full time effort in and I know there is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme. I have some capital I can work with but can’t afford to really make many mistakes and end up with a bunch of product that I can’t move. would like to commit to building this business up and growing it over the course of the next few years. just not really sure how to get started and what would be needed before I can start making good sales numbers. Any advice or tips or even a reality check is welcome and appreciated.
