Been selling books through FBA for a few months averaging a few hundred $/month. Recently found some computer office accessories that go for about $300 each NIB at auction and got the lot for $50…they have been selling like hotcakes and I’m so excited!
I know this is nothing compared to some folks here, but I’ve sold about $3k of product in the last month and it’s a huge new record for me. I just happened upon a pallet of keyboard trays NIB at an auction and thought ‘I bet I could merchant fulfill those puppies!’. I won the pallet for literally $100 and after the auction a guy wanted to buy one off me directly so I sold the one that was open box to him for $50, so I have $50 in this inventory and it just keeps flying off the shelves at $300/each. I had an order the other day for 4 of them at once. It’s the first thing I’ve merchant-fulfilled, so I got to learn that side of the Amazon Seller biz as well.
I have to say, seeing that order for 4 of the keyboard trays come in was more exciting than just about anything that has happened at my regular IT job in the last 10 years. I don’t know how I’ll ever find another pallet like that to flip, but I’m excited and feel like I’m closer than ever to being able to make a full time career from this. Thanks to you all for all the awesome content on this sub. It’s really helped get to this step…I am trying to figure out how to get to the next step from here.
