how much is minimally ideal to start selling on amazon?

looking to start my FBA amazon seller journey and was curious how much i should initially invest to be successful. i don’t want to do too little ($500?) and get discouraged and i don’t want to invest an extreme amount ($10k?) while i’m still learning the ropes. what did you invest/what would you suggest?
