What are some good wholesale distributors in the US?

My father and I both disabled veterans (started a business together) and we are looking for where to source product. I’ve done research and I really don’t want to source from Alibaba because the time it takes and the shipping costs. Does anyone have any resources available that they could share with a new business? It would be greatly appreciated.
