Question Regarding LTL and Box Sizes
Hello,
I’m setting up an LTL pallet to ship items to Amazon for FBA. I am trying to send seven (7) large boxes. Each box weighs 33.5 lbs and the box dimensions are: 12x19x32. These will all be put on a pallet.
Normally, with small parcels, you are limited to 25 inches on any side of the box and the box can cannot weigh more than 50 lbs. I have spoken to Amazon seller support and they have told me that for LTL shipments, this isn’t the case. There is no real box size limit provided that nothing exceeds the total length of the standard pallet itself.
However, when I try to ship these LTL, I have highlighted the items, then I go to “Send/Replenish Inventory” > “Packing Details.” I enter my dimensions and I get the error code:
“1 Error: A box containing standard-size units cannot exceed 25.00 inch on any side”
Was the seller support representative wrong about being allowed to send boxes greater than 25 inches in an LTL? Or am I improperly sending this? Thanks.
