Error Selling “Generic” Items

Does anyone have advice for someone selling items that do not have a UPC? We are trying to sell seeds but since we grow them, they do not have a UPC/Barcode. We are using “generic”, but keep getting the items placed into random categories like music or energy drinks. What should we do?
