Bar codes talk … legit?

Hi all,

Small business just starting out with 300-500 items. Asking about Bar Codes Talk company which is a UPC code reseller. Anyone have luck with them as a seller Amazon FBA?

Also heard of brand registry as a way to require only SKUs instead of UPCs?

I’m looking to start out with a smaller amount of more items if that makes sense (ie, 30QTY of 15 different UPC items) instead of just one item UPC and the $$$ GS1 barcodes are a big hurdle at the moments. I’ve read to get the GS1 barcodes for cheaper from the UK but would like to know if there are any implications as well in doing that for a North American seller.
