If keyword campaign has multiple ads/products – do I end up paying my max bid because I am first and second place in the auction?

As I understand it the price you pay for a click is “bid of second place + 1 cent”. But if I have a search term campaign with multiple ads (i.e. products) do I then risk being first and second place myself? (thus paying the bid e.g. 1 euro + 1 cent for any click I may get)
