Need help – major bug/glitch during the registration process
Hi Amazon Seller community,
Our business is based in Australia. And we currently have an active Australian Amazon Seller account.
Via the Sell Globally menu, we’ve tried to add Americas and UK’s marketplaces by registering in those marketplaces but something went wrong (bug/glitch) during the registration process for the Americas region.
We cancelled the registration process in those new marketplaces (this was an option offered at some point during the process) and it reset the options available to us on the “Sell Globally” page (the options to register for new marketplaces was available to us again).
But now when trying to register in a new marketplace (US), it looks like we’re taken to an error page that shows a “ghost canadian account” for our store, there is also an error message in the url. We can’t resume the registration process in that marketplace (because it was cancelled) or even start a new one, we’re always taken back to that error page, trapped in that endless loop.
We’ve already reached out to support for assistance. Amazon recognizes this is a bug that is also affecting other sellers and assured us their internal team was on it. The Issue is, that this has already been a week now and our problem still has not been resolved.
We really don’t know what to do anymore. Our account is still active and has not been suspended or anything so we have not violated any Amazon policy, we’re just not able to expand to other markets because of this bug in the system that seems to think we have an account opened in the Americas region already (when it is absolutely not the case)
Has anyone run into any issues during the registration process to new marketplaces. And if so, has Amazon been able to help you find a resolution to this bug/glitch?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your help
