I’ve found a product with a price of $50. It’s a commodity with the top sellers selling 10-20k units per month, however

Everyone sells these units in basic white and grey. I can get the new 2024 model that is a little more powerful than the 2023 that is already selling very well on Amazon with many sellers w sales volumes of 1k or more per month. There are only 7 pages of listings for this and everyone started in 2020 or later (so the product is kind of new).

My question – I can get the new model for $15/ea after factoring in shipping but I need to buy 1,000 units to get the color I want. This color is what I’m banking on setting my product apart given it’s the same as the others but a little more powerful (and the color will be different).

I’ve put in all the numbers and I should be able to profit $22/ea at the standard $50 that everyone else sells them for and have plenty of budget left for ads or to drop the price if I need to undercut.

Is this a wise move?
