Handling Time Automatically Changes

I do FBM and make custom products. I have a handling time set at 10 days but I’ve seen twice that Amazon is changing this without notification to me. The first time they changed it to 2 days and most recently to 6. I do often ship way ahead of the required ship day. Is it automatically making changes based on my actual handling times? If so, can I turn that off?
