Account Verification

Hi all, this might be a long one but for anyone who reads through and responds I am forever great full.

I’ve testing the water and selling on amazon since July this year, Ive done very well selling about 150 products whist doing retail arbitrage. in October circumstances in life changed and I stoped buying products and wanted to get rid of all my products in my inventory, I only have 8 items left and £~250 as my balance (will increase to about £300 once last items sell)

In mid October I receive an notification requesting more information about me and the type of business I was running, I selected ‘individual’ as I was not registered as a sole trader, after a few days it was rejected and was asked to select what type of business I am again, this time I selected I was a sole trader (they made my selling privileges inactive and put my funds on hold at this point), this came back as declined again and they said I needed to write a letter of authorisation which I did, this happed a few more times until I contacted them and I was just replied with a generic answer telling me what documents I needed to upload (the area where I was meant to upload them is greyed out)
During the last verification I was told my passport was invalid, I double checked everything and all seemed good. this verification has now been ongoing for about 4 days. (I do not understand that they take so long verifying especially with someone who has an inactive account as they surely need it up and running ASAP)

Every time I receive the email regarding amazon needing more information I am greeted with a new problem. such as my passport, the letter of authorisation or what type of business I run all mentioned above.

As far as I understand I do not need to register as a sole trader until I have earned £1,000 in the previous tax year as the government website states “you earned more than £1,000 from self-employment between 6 April 2022 and 5 April 2023” which is something I have not reached and will not reach.

Firstly I’m frustrated that they do not do all necessary verifications when you sign up and only request this information 3 months after starting to sell on amazon.

Please inform me on what the best steps are and how I should go about this.
