How to get brands ungated to sell?

Stopped selling a few years back, closed the account. I reopened a account last week and just tryed to start out selling some things around the house, warming my account back up before I maybe get back to full time. I try to list xbox controllers, gated. Video games, gated. A few other name brand electronics, gated. Literally everything I tried, EVERYTHING was gated. 2 years back I sold these all freely. I see there are 50-100 sellers selling the same items, so I don’t know if they got grandfathered in or how the heck they got it ungated. Cause usually a gated listing has less than like 20 sellers.

No i’m not going to try to pay $1,500. Contacting a major brand like microsoft is pointless. What is the trick? Buying items from the brands website and showing invoices? Finding out a wholesale website that works with those brands (ex. You use to be able to get ungated from frunko by having a wholesale account with EE distributors). Theres a guy whose willing to tell me a easy way, but wants $500. Not going to pay him, but obvi makes it seems there is a trick, I just have to figure it out.
