Will requesting arbitration damage my account?
Little bit of background. I booked an AWD shipment. There was an error with the pallet count and I contacted customer support and was advised to cancel and rebook.
They charged me $2,500 and when I requested the refund I was told that since the cancellation was more than 60 minutes there would be no refund.
Multiple support tickets later and I’m getting nowhere. Even though I have screenshots of them instructing me to cancel. Even though I have screenshots of support guaranteeing that I would get my money back.
I have the option through the American arbitration association to send a letter of demand and open an arbitration with Amazon. The tou does not allow for a lawsuit.
Not a huge seller, but i do 500k a year in sales on Amazon… So i really do not want to affect my account in any way. I’ll just take the $2500 loss rather than risk adverse action against my seller account .
Have any of you had any experience with arbitration? Any other ideas? Hammering support tickets for a week has not gotten me anywhere. Transferred transferred transferred and eventually I get a boiler plate thing that says you cancel after 60 minutes get hosed..
