Easier Way To Upload Images For Variations?

I add all the photos I want included to the parent listing, but when I add my variations (26 in total) none of the photos apply to the variation and I have to also upload those same photos for each listing.

What’s the point of the uploading photos to the parent listing if they don’t even appear?

Any help or suggestions is needed. I’m coming from Etsy and feel Amazon is very clunky and not intuitive.
