Amazon advertising, how accurate are the bid range stats?
For one of my main broad keywords, the bid range says most ads are winning the bid at between $0.45-$0.75 , so they suggest a bid of $0.60. I have mine set to $0.85 and yet my impressions for the whole day so far are like 20. I have 15 other keywords (mix of broad, range and exact) and all the bids I’ve placed are $0.85 which is around the max range or higher than the bid ranges. Unless the bid range stats are completely false, I don’t get why I only start getting impressions at around 2x – 2.5x the suggested amount. Surely slightly above the bid range should be getting me a ton more impressions? At around 2x the the suggested amount I blow through my daily budget in just a few hours. Or does Amazon just favour lower bids from other sellers who have more sales and use the same keywords unless I’m willing to literally double their bid?
