FBA FNSKU labels inside/outside

Most of the items I ship are in clear small poly bags (3″ x 4″). For the past year, I’ve printed out the labels and put it on the outside of the bag.

Does anyone have experience with the barcode being on the inside of the bag? I know most barcode readers have no issue reading a code through a thin layer of plastic but obviously don’t want to order 10K new product inserts with the barcode already on it only to be stuck applying labels manually.
