Help Needed: Our Amazon Account Was Hijacked – What Should We Do?
Hey Reddit Community,
I’m in a bit of a pickle and could really use some advice. I work for a company called RUN-CHICKEN, and we specialize in automatic chicken coop doors. Recently, we’ve faced a significant setback: our Amazon account was hijacked by hackers.
Here’s what happened: Between January 21 and 22, we lost control over our brand registry for “RUN-CHICKEN” on Amazon. The hackers changed the main email through USPTO and removed all our rightful users. Since then, they’ve been altering our product listings, adding terms like “pesticide” and “antibacterial” to our products (which they are not), resulting in Amazon deactivating our listings.
We’ve tried resolving this through Amazon’s Seller Support and Brand Registry, but haven’t had much success. The hackers have also completely altered our Brand Store on Amazon in a very distasteful and misleading way.
As a company that prides itself on quality products and customer satisfaction, this situation is devastating. Our revenue and reputation are taking a hit, and we’re struggling to find a way to regain control and rectify the situation.
Have any of you faced a similar situation or have any advice on what steps we should take next? We’ve already started the process of reclaiming our brand registry ownership, but any additional insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for reading. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
