Life after Amazon
I can feel the end coming. Margins are getting smaller, debt is going up trying to remain afloat and my vision towards people is turning toxic. It’s time to move on.
But I’ve been at this over 15 years, and the last 5 years this has been my only job so now what? I’ve been doing RA as a solo act for everything and at the height of it all I was averaging between $250k to $300k a year, out of my garage with after tax being around $130k take home.
I have a history in IT doing system administration type work with a lot of break/fix and new hardware installations but no certifications to prove anything and I’ve been fully out of it for the last 5 years and mostly out for the 5 prior to that. In the IT world I feel like I’m basically starting over. I was an inventory manager for a large grocery company for five years, but that experience feels outdated too. Besides all of that, I feel so defeated that I have no desire really for anything.
Anyway, I’m rambling. My question for ya’ll is what kind of skills does RA on Amazon translate to on a resume? How can I market what I’ve done the last 15 years into a skill that I can move forward with to try and dig myself out of this hole?
