Is there a need for another Alibaba to source from India?

India seems to be picking up on manufacturing – however does Alibaba, Indiamart and other sourcing portals meet the needs of Western buyers looking to buy from Indian manufacturers/suppliers? If not, what are the main pain points that are yet to be solved?
It seems like India is picking up in manufacturing for consumer goods. China seems to be becoming more expensive with increasing raw labor cost and increasing tariffs. However China seems to have better quality and R&D capabilities. What have you observed?
Very keen to hear and learn from active buyers who have experienced these. Thank you for your inputs.
