Account deactivated, holding funds, accused of counterfeit
Hi everyone,
My boyfriend recently got back into selling on Amazon after he stopped during COVID. His biggest sellers are seasonal wax melts from Walmart (then & now) and Amazon emailed him this week about a section 3 counterfeit claim on a freaking wax melt! He has the receipt & sent in less than 10 of that scent compared to the hundreds of other scents he sent. Not only has this happened, he’s made over $1,000 and they’ve only sent him $6. Apparently they must hold on to the funds for possible chargebacks, but how long do you need to hold on to funds from an account receiving no chargebacks after 2 months! Smh this is extremely frustrating. Amazon sent a notification this morning stating his account has been deactivated. He plans to do a video call to provide proof this afternoon and see what happens.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
