ID verification video
I recently had a video verification video with some dude from India who barely spoke English. I provided him with my DL and Passport and he tried to insinuate that the pictures on both id’s didn’t match and weren’t me. When I opened my account 5 years ago, I used a DL that had my picture as a teen. When that license expired, I updated my pic. I explained it to him but I guess in India they still keep their baby pics on passports.
He later started asking me irrelevant questions, which I answered anyway. He also started to ask me questions that he didn’t know the answer to, “are you sure”, “are you certain”, basically asking questions that weren’t applicable to the account in question. He was being contradicting and disrespectful.
Long story short, while I don’t know the resolution to all this, I don’t feel great about it. I can’t believe Amazon would leverage people from India who barely speak English to hold the fate of people’s livelihoods. They’ve been holding well over 6 figures for 45 days and had to pay vendors out of my own pocket. Amazon has 0 support and I don’t know what to do.
