Listing “Generic” product

I’ve come across a situation where a brand product is being listed as “generic” by some sellers. I’m a bit unsure about whether it’s okay to list it alongside them since I’ve never listed any product as generic before. Can anyone provide some insight or advice on whether this is allowed and what the potential implications might be? Just want to make sure I’m following the rules correctly.
