Seller is selling a name brand as their own

Hey guys have been away from Amazon for quite some time focusing on brick and mortar. I decided to come back after about 8 years off. I have been doing some product research and have a few SKUs I want to move forward with. It is a name brand I have access to through an existing wholesale account from my brick and mortar location. Upon doing some inspection on Amazon I see that I am gated for the brand. However the brand I am gated for is not the product brand. It is a made in the USA name brand product that everyone knows, not a generic product from China with a private label. How can a seller do this on Amazon and how do I sell the same product? I can provide wholesale invoices from a licensed distributor for the product I want to sell.
