Stuck in an endless loop
I just opened up an account to become a seller, but did so at home. When I tried to log in at work, I got the following message:
“We have detected unusual activity on your account and have locked it temporarily. Please contact customer service for further assistance.”
I literally just opened the account. I have nothing on my page. I can only assume the unusual activity is that I’m logging in from work?
I have OTP set up, and each time I try to log in, I get the same message. The problem is that when I try to contact customer service, it leads me back to the log in site, which then leads back to the “unusual activity” message and it doesn’t allow me to log in. What is the point of having 2 factor verification if it just locks me into this endless loop…
Does anyone have a phone number I can call to reach someone directly? It’s been over a week trying the same thing. I’ve even tried logging in from home and it’s still locked. So I’m stuck. I can’t reach customer service because I need to log in, I can’t log in because the service is temporarily unavailable.
Should I just create another account with a different email? My IP is still going to remain the same. This is so frustrating!
