As a 100% FBM Amazon professional seller on the UK marketplace, I intend to expand my product reach to the USA marketplace. My products range in price from £9.99 to £19.99, and I plan to charge 70% of the shipping cost using Royal Mail tracked and signed services. As a small business, I do not maintain inventory in the USA nor utilize FBM; instead, I rely on Amazon’s IOSS when sending items.

To ensure a smooth transition, I need clarity on whether I require a US VAT number or EIN to ship products to the USA without customers incurring customs duties. This is crucial as I aim to tap into the vast potential of the USA Amazon marketplace. Any advice on navigating these requirements would be greatly appreciated, as Amazon’s guidelines on this matter have not been entirely clear.
