Do PPC ads advertise the listing or the offer?

Hi,

I’m going to start advertising my first product that I’m sharing the info page with other sellers on. If I lose the buy box, will I be paying for other sellers’ sales?

Also, is there a way to advertise off amazon that leads to my offer only?
