Maybe it sound like a stupid question but I am new here so do I have to pay the 40$ monthly subscription to begain to sell my stuff in amazon

Like can’t I sell in Amazon without paying this 40$ or is it like a subscription with benifts but u dont have to do it and do anyone know another good websites to sell and I am from egypt btw
