Advice Needed –
Hi, I understand that this is an Amazon seller forum but I just wanted to ask for advice directly from people who sell. Yesterday I ordered an item off Amazon for 8.99 + 2.99 postage so the total came to 11.98. I received an email about two hours ago from Amazon saying the vendor had sent me a message. I looked at the message and it basically said that the seller wants me to cancel the order due to a pricing error on their part. I checked the listing for the item again and the price has increased to 10.99 plus 3.99 postage, totalling 14.98 – only a £3 difference from what I paid. I have read on internet forums about how the seller will want me to cancel the order as the ‘black mark’ will then go against my account instead of theirs. Plus also I read about how many companies use this as a way of selling and cancelling as a sort of scam. What I’m wondering is if there is any way to basically say “it’s only a £3 price difference, can you send it anyway since it’s a fault on your part to begin with?” Instead of asking for a discount etc on the new price because of their own mistake. I have nothing against cancelling the order but I’m just overall a bit annoyed as it’s not my fault. Any advice is appreciated, thank you
