Amazon Handmade – price of the account

Hi,

I have thought about diversifying into amazon handmade, but even tho it’s supposedly free, when i try to create an account it always says that in the first month it will charge 40$ for the professional plan. Is there a way around it or do I have to do it in order to change into handmade later?
