GS1 barcode need to match brand or is it ok to match company name?

I’ve got a product I’m launching but I’m not 100% certain I’m going to keep my brand name so can I use my company name with gs1? let’s say it’s general company LLC, would I have to sell under that company on Amazon or could I use my brand name?
