Account banned before the first sale
Hi all,
I have tried looking through the sub but couldn’t find a relatable situation that could’ve caused this so I am reaching out for help. Note, this story has been going on for quite a long time, but I am still so upset about not being able to sell like a regular hard-working individual on the platform that I’d like to fix it.
So, I run a business selling big stuffed animals in Europe. I have been doing this for years in a b2b market and wanted to try it out in a d2c fashion in my market, the Netherlands. This worked quite well, and after a short period, I attained a high amount of revenue even in slow months. I figured that expanding would be the only logical choice, and besides running a B2C self-hosted store, I wanted to reach the masses by acquiring an Amazon account.
When signing up for Amazon with my business and going through the (lengthy) sign-up process, I immediately received a ban notification for breaching article 3 of the contract. Mind you, no sales history, nor did I even get the chance to add a single product. I tried appealing it lots of times with the limited information I had about the reasoning (pure guesswork tbh) but to no avail.
A year later, I had set up an LLC to run this operation separate from my other ventures and thought it might be a good idea to give Amazon another shot. I signed up, went through the entire lengthy sign-up process again, and immediately received another ban. I tried appealing it again, but what do you know nothing…
I am out of ideas on how to get this problem solved. I have now resorted to someone else opening up an AMZ account and selling the products for me and sending my warehouse the details for shipping, and it works ok. Still, I’d rather have it in my company account with the revenue I’m making.
Any tips on how to get this whole ordeal solved? I’m probably not the only person to say this but, oh boy, what would I love to just speak to someone directly over the phone…
