Question on purchasing from a distributor.

I recently got accepted to a wholesale program. Well the prices are exactly the same or more then Amazon. How do I make a profit if the distributors pricing is so high. Thanks. I’m new to this and thought the distributors would have cheaper products to be able to sell on Amazon.
