Is GTIN exemption required for each product as a whole or specific for each product size and model?

e.g. For wall art such as poster and canvas via print on demand, do we need to apply for GTIN for each size and each design?

I see on Amazon’s website that real photos are required for each product. Does that mean one photo for a canvas type or product photos for each design and size (all the combos)
