Shipping Plan: I chose the wrong carrier

Hey fam,

Small FBA seller here.
Here’s the gist of my conundrum.
– My supplier is China-based and deals with a non-affiliated UPS carrier.
– I didn’t think about clarifying that before creating my shipping plan.
– I created my shipping plan specifying FedEx would be the carrier.
– Received tracking number from my supplier: naturally, it’s a UPS tracker.
– I tried pasting that number in the “Tracking Details” section of my shipping plan.
– The system gives me an “ID not recognized” message, as it is probably expecting a FedEx tracking number, and FedEx vs UPS numbers are set up differently. (UPS trackers begin with “1Z”, FedEx does not.
– Opened a case with Amazon, and they sent me the below reply twice.

Not sure what they mean by “defect”.
And I’m a little concerned Amazon won’t be able to track my shipment, although they have the shipment ID.

Has anyone else come across a similar situation?
