Adidas putting wrong images on their listing?

I have been distributing certain Adidas products from wholesalers, and sometimes liquidate older products on Amazon.

Yesterday I noticed that one of the Adidas listings had its images changed to display an incorrect product. I asked Amazon if they can change it back, and they said that the Brand owner must approve or make any changes.

Do big brands change the images to incorrect ones just to mess up 3rd party sellers? Or did someone else manage to sneak a change through?

Would love to hear any similar experience, and how it ended up resolving.
