They proudly, but naively, announced it on an Amazon sellers’ forum that they operate. It was not well received, with about 80% of sellers telling them that it was a bad idea.

Instead of saying ‘My bad’, or offering a defense of their actions, Amazon simply closed the thread and blocked many of the most vocal critics. Many of the responses are supressed, but you can see them by clicking on ‘view hidden content’.
