New Amazon seller, need a little help with UPCs
Hi guys,
I have two companies, one is the manufacturer (direct sales to distributors), and the other is the retailer (sells to customers, this is the seller account 4 amazon). I’m waiting on my trademark pending application # to register the brand on amazon.
Til then, I wanted to list our products since we just got our new UPCs from GS1. Firstly, our graphics designer wants .svgs – do we have to request these from an image vendor from GS1? She also wants EANs for some reason and we only received GTINs and UPCs from GS1. So, she generated some EANs
Secondly, my UPCs aren’t registering as valid on Amazon – Getting this error:

8572: You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, contact Seller Support with the following information:

Product Name

Manufacturer name

Brand name

UPC or EAN or ISBN or JAN along with GS1 certificate

Non-brand owners: A copy of a letter/email from the manufacturer or brand stating that the UPC or EAN or ISBN or JAN you are using to list this product is valid

Brand owner: Valid and current (not expired) GS1 certificate for the GTIN range(s) used by your listings

I own the brand too, however I haven’t registered the brand on Amazon. Is that the source of this issue? Because I still get it when I mark brand as “generic”.
