Adding first listings and editing title and description and images for already listed product that another seller is selling.

Everyone I am new to selling on Amazon. I’m just wondering with the adding a product to your catalogue that another seller is already selling can you edit the images and title and description and everything to make it your own or does it need to be exactly the same as what the other seller is selling? Because I have gone and got my own photos done and whatnot of my product and personally believe that they are a lot better than the ones that are on Amazon already. But if I’m to make my own photos and title and everything does that mean that I need to pay and apply for my own unique eight AISN number? Honestly it’s a bit confusing I’ve tried to look through the videos on seller University etc and it’s not quite clear because I want my listing to be unique although it is the same product. Does anyone know if is it possible that this can be done it’s just me being a Newby not understanding how it’s properly done. Thank you.
