I was approved on Amazon Handmade about a month ago. I run a small jewelry shop online. Should I register on Amazon Seller Central as a private business or an individual?
I’d like to keep the business as a sole proprietorship for now (using my name not a DBA) to keep things simple. I’d like to avoid making things too complicated at first because I’ve been there before and it didn’t work out well. My products have a very low risk of liability.
Based on this, should I select “private business” or “sell as an individual” on the registration section? For a sole proprietorship, could I just select “private business” and then put my name as the business name? On the other hand, if I select “sell as an individual,” I want to make sure I can still list my products on Handmade.

Seller app not opening labels
Anyone else having this issue for the last few days? When your click to purchase shipping, you get to choose which one and purchase. Open shipping label used to open a new web page on my phone so I could print to my laser label printer. Now it just goes to a blank page… Pop ups are enabled.

Warning when using GS1 services for you barcodes (Canada, or anywhere)
If you’re a small business owner looking to get a barcode, please read this before signing up with GS1.
I signed up thinking it was a simple one-time registration for product barcodes and if you wish to keep using them you renew them or they expire and are no longer valud. Instead, they automatically hit you with annual renewals which you aren’t even aware of. Eventually you’ll get a collections letter demanding the payment.
You can’t cancel your GS1 account unless you pay them… If you don’t pay, they keep charging you year after year, even if you’re not using the service. There’s no easy opt-out, and their cancellation process is intentionally designed to trap you.
This kind of billing model is, unethical, predatory and borderline criminal in my opinion. It takes advantage of small business owners who are already under pressure.
I’ll be filing complaints with consumer protection agencies. I’m also committed to making sure others don’t fall into the same trap.
If you’ve had a similar experience, speak up. We deserve better business practices. Report them.

Newbie looking for an answer
Hey! Long story short, I’m permanently disabled. I keep seeing/reading about how people promote an item on amazon and they get a commission off of it. I tried to figure it out on my own but it said I needed my own website etc… is there a way to do this without owning a website? Like I select an item, get a link and post it on social media etc?
No, I wouldn’t be spamming, it’d be an item friends, family, and myself buy often. Yes, I do get ssdi and snap, but with the cost of today, it’s still not enough.
Thank you for those who were patient and read my post, and moreover to anyone who replies ^ TYIA

Amazon’s payments disbursement ? Does any truly understand it.
Amazon support barely seem to understand it. This time they are holding onto more money for a longer period and my supplier is starting to get very antsy. I have called 3-4 times asking to release some funds in a desperate need to pay my supplier.
They refused. I have been selling for 3 years without issue. It’s very frustrating, and I’m at a loss here. I could lose my supplier.
