Sales dropped to Zero after switching from an Individual to a Professional Account FBM
Hi all,
I recently started selling on Amazon Germany. I initially opened an Individual FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) seller account and made four sales in the first week. As you may know, Individual sellers can’t configure their shipping settings, so Amazon automatically charged €3 per item—and the same for each additional item.
Encouraged by those early sales, I upgraded to a Professional seller account (€39.99/month in the EU). I lowered my product price by 30%, set up a flat-rate shipping fee of €3.95, offered free shipping for orders over €25, and even added a “buy five, get one free” promotion. But since making the switch, I haven’t had a single sale in two weeks.
I’ve been trying to figure out why Amazon seems to have stopped showing my listings. Despite offering better deals and having more seller tools as a Professional, visibility has dropped. Could it be that, since Amazon already collects the €39.99 monthly fee from me, there’s less incentive for them to promote my listings?
I’m really trying to understand how Amazon’s algorithm works. Today, I reduced my shipping cost to €3, but I doubt it will make much difference.
Should I consider switching back to an Individual account? I had planned to move to FBA soon, but now I’m unsure if that’s the right move. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Worst experience ever with Amazon
I had terrible experience with Amazon
I purchased two phone from Amazon, the seller sent only one phone with the invoice paper saying quantity of 2, and I got the order as two phone were delivered, I called the seller he didn’t respond, I had to call the customer service and they said allow him 48 hours to respond but he didn’t.
Then after that I called back and they said they will file a claim to investigate and reach back to me. In that time the seller texted me and he said he has a warehouse and follow restrict rules for shipping and I showed him the pictures of the order and he checked the cameras and he admit that he shipped only one phone, he offered me a refund and said he will ship a free gift as a compensation (airpods).
The day after I received an email from Amazon that my account was suspended and I can’t shop from Amazon anymore for violation, I called the customer service again and they said will forward it to a manager, I received another email saying the investigation went to that I received my order and what I provided was wrong and this a final decision to close my account and I can’t shop again from Amazon, well I don’t care about the damn account and after this situation I won’t never shop again from Amazon, if the seller didn’t refund me I would lose that money. They are fools they have access to the chat if they read it they would find out what happened !!
I have all the pictures, and I wish I took a screenshot from the chat.

It’s a good idea to use PO Box as amazon return delivery address ?
Hi, I get around 500 return packages from Amazon monthly. Is it a good idea to use a P.O. box as the return address to avoid missing return deliveries from Amazon UPS?

Issue with the AMAZON mobile app?
Anyone have this app upgrade banner on the top of the screen that won’t go away?
Even after you update?

I was approved on Amazon Handmade about a month ago. I run a small jewelry shop online. Should I register on Amazon Seller Central as a private business or an individual?
I’d like to keep the business as a sole proprietorship for now (using my name not a DBA) to keep things simple. I’d like to avoid making things too complicated at first because I’ve been there before and it didn’t work out well. My products have a very low risk of liability.
Based on this, should I select “private business” or “sell as an individual” on the registration section? For a sole proprietorship, could I just select “private business” and then put my name as the business name? On the other hand, if I select “sell as an individual,” I want to make sure I can still list my products on Handmade.
