Buy from China and sell on Amazon?
Hi, for those who purchase products from China and sell them online, I have some questions. Could you please be kind enough to give me more info on this? 1. How do you search products and where do you place orders? 2. Is the quality of the products guaranteed? 3. Can you use your own label or just use what you have purchased?
Thank you so much.
A newbie.

Wholesale Sellers: Do you rescan your pricelists?
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone here scans pricelists from their suppliers regularly, and whether anyone finds picks up extra products with this methods.
There have been a few products I have been selling that seem to go through cycles, a month of being quite profitable when competitors have very little stock, the big dump of stock comes into supplier’s inventory and then they are unprofitable for a month or so until competitors all run out.
We have made a good portion of profit following these products, buying stock and waiting for them to become profitable again, wondering if we’ve been missing good products because we don’t have time to scan our pricelists once per month. We’re using scan unlimited type software for scanning our pricelists.

Shipping Costs Eating My Margin: $89 for UPS on a $22 Item – What Am I Doing Wrong?
Hi, today I made my first two orders. The problem is that the item costs $22 and my margin is only $4, yet I paid $86 for shipping using UPS. Am I doing something wrong?
Edit:
- Shipment Size: 8 x 8 x 8 inches, 4 lbs
- Destinations:
- One order was shipped to Montana: Shipping cost was $39
- The other was shipped to Georgia
- Additional Costs:
- Boxes: $10.80 and $5.40 each
- Wrapping material: $5.46
My question is: How can I optimize my shipping to cut down on these crazy expenses?

I Have 10,000 Used Items Listed on Amazon and I’m at Risk of Deactivation for Brand IP Violation. What Gives?
Okay that title was a mouthful. I run an Amazon sellers account, which I have managed for almost a decade. Just under 10,000 items listed.
Along with this I have a brick and mortar camera shop that is an authorized dealer for Sony, Canon, Nikon, Tamron, Kodak and others.
I only sell USED items on Amazon. These are not refurbished or like new items – they are in fact used. Such as vintage film cameras, lenses, camera accessories and film. You get the idea. We have a whole department dedicated to photographing and listing on amazon as well as dealing with customer service inquiries here – it is a pivotal part of our business along with ebay and Etsy.
As my title states, we receive a lot of warnings from amazon flagging our listing for IP violation for the use of brand names such as GE (projector bulbs), Pentax (vintage camera gear – this company is now defunct), and Kodak (which we are a licensed dealer for), Polaroid (which we are also a licensed dealer of), and Vivitar (which is a long defunct company). These complains seem arbitrary which I am sure they are based on Amazon’s system.
What I am looking for feedback on is if there are other sellers like myself who experience selling this type and quantity of inventory on Amazon and how you deal with these issues? Is there a function of the system that we are missing in order to comply with rules for resale of used items? We have extremely similar practices on Etsy.
We have submitted letters from our manufacturer partners verifying that we are authorized dealers but these always seem to come up short of Amazon’s requirements.
Any help or insight would be hugely helpful! Hoping to salvage my account!

Legality question about product
Is it legal to add a branded item inside I kit I put together with other unbranded ones?
