Seeing Amazon Products being sold at cost, in line with alibaba prices.

There is a product X, that is selling for 6 dollars on amazon. With 2.40 small and light fee + inbound placement, and stuff I estimate 3 dollars in FBA fees. So 3 dollars in profit max.

Alibaba prices show even if you order like 1500 units they want 2 dollars, I guess you can negotiate a little but still.

Got a unique product. Should I sell on Amazon myself, or work with an existing seller?

I currently got 1 product in my German Amazon shop (FBA), plan to end with 7 SKUs. Wondering if I should stick to B2B, leave B2C to sellers who have Amazon as their full-time gig. Make a deal with one to sell my products there.

Are 7 unique products enough to run an Amazon shop profitably? Can it justify the time and work involved? Products cost $20 om average, sport toys targeting teens and up.

Lots of variables, I know, but what is your gut feeling? Can an Amazon shop be a good idea, for a part time seller, who doesn’t plan on fighting to gain foothold in any of the best selling categories?

1099k Unadjusted Gross vs bank Transfers

Trying to better understand the difference between 1099k and my bank transfers received from Amazon to calculate my tax. Is this how to calculate net profit:

1099k Gross is 176k / shipping credit 3k, sales tax collected 9k 2024 income 164k Bank Transfers 133k Cost of goods sold 107k Business expenses 11k

If I use the 176-9k I get 165k. 165k – my cost of goods sold 107k = 57k

57k – Business expense 11k – amazon fees/returns (164k-133k=31k) = 15k net profit ?

GTIN exemption question for the room

So I currently sell coffee mugs and tumblers on Amazon. Currently I’m able to sell in the States, Canada and Mexico. I got a GTIN exemption for the states but my question is that do I need to go through the same process in getting a GTIN exemption for Canada and Mexico?

Customer getting refund after opening up A-Z without returning product

I sell high end electronics.i have lost multiple cases where customer open up a A-Z and says that they either didn’t get the product or that the product is defective. We would lose the A-Z even after we provide Amazon with proof of delivery or let them know that the customer can return the product. Amazon would rule in their favor and let them keep the product. These products are 2k-4k in value. I don’t know what to do.
