Confused About Amazon Express Payouts – When Do We Get Paid?
Hello Amazon sellers,
I wanted to see if anyone has information on how Amazon handles payouts for its sellers.
For context, I recently started selling on Amazon as an FBM seller, and things have been going really well. In just the past week, I’ve done $10K in sales. However, I haven’t seen any of that money yet. I’m starting to run low on inventory and funds—both for fulfilling current orders and for purchasing more stock—as I’m a small personal business/brand.
I set up Express Payout yesterday, and I’d love to hear about other sellers’ experiences with it.
I’m also wondering how the payment process works, will I only get paid after shipping an order. Do I need to wait until the customer receives the order before I get paid, even with Express Payout?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance—I look forward to reading your responses.

Better Places to Source?
Does anyone know any better places to source besides Tj Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, & Walmart & Target Clearance? I’ve had some luck here and there but overall I’m looking for a higher ROI and Online Sourcing isn’t doing much for me either. My go to method for it is storefront stalking, but since I just started a fee months ago it’s still hard finding brands that I can get ungated in.

#467 – Amazon Product Video Production in the Age of AI with Rob Wiltsey
Rob Wiltsey, founder of VideoFresh, takes us on an engaging journey from his high school days as a video enthusiast to leading a top-tier company that revolutionizes video production for e-commerce. He shares how VideoFresh ingeniously combines the artistry of video with the structured efficiency of lean manufacturing principles, a synergy that has transformed how Amazon sellers and e-commerce platforms utilize video content. Rob’s approach not only optimizes production efficiency but also offers cost-effective solutions that don’t compromise on quality, an aspect that has positioned Video Fresh as a leader in the field.
As we explore the multifaceted e-commerce marketing funnel, Rob and I discuss how strategic video content plays a vital role at each stage. From creating emotional connections with top-of-funnel content to crafting tactical videos for deeper engagement, Rob emphasizes the diverse video types essential for different marketing objectives. We touch upon the significance of cost-effective strategies such as batching product shoots and choosing the right video format—whether for branding, direct responses, or educational purposes—to align with specific goals. Personal anecdotes enrich our conversation, illustrating how VideoFresh’s creative strategies are applied in real-world scenarios.
The discussion also ventures into the future, examining the intersection of AI and video production. Rob shares insights on how AI is currently enhancing creativity and efficiency without replacing the invaluable human touch in video production. He describes the exciting potential of AI to revolutionize how brands test and create content, while cautioning against the risk of AI-produced work becoming lackluster if not strategically managed. Issues w brand approval for your own brand
Has anyone had issues w the system prompting you for brand approval for your own brand? We make clothing, it is an incorporated brand (in Canada) and we uploaded all respective documents and were approved to sell. We sent the first box of clothing to the warehouse and those are posted and live, and a week later when trying to create more listings it tells us we are not approved to sell that ASIN. When we press on request approval it prompts us for an invoice showing where we purchased the units (and it has to show the purchase of ay least 10 units). We literally sow the clothing so we would not have such a thing. I have spoken to 3 different Amazon associates. The first literally instructed us to create a fake invoice from our company to….our own company! The other 2 agree that we do not need this since we are the manufacturers, and they escalate the case to a specialist. The first time after a week I got an email that they closed the case, although we still cannot sell. And the last time they escalated it saying it would be addressed within 48 hours and it has been 2 weeks.
Any insights?

Chinese competitor buyer message?
I received a buyer message at roughly 430 am. The FBA shipping address is in Indiana but shows a chinese billing account tied to the order (on the order detail page).
The message itself is very lengthy and detailed. It basically describes how the product goes against everything as I described it to be. The email quotes multiple bullet points from my product detail page and claims it is not as described and the product is unusable. They are requesting a refund.
I haven’t responded to the email or issued a refund. My first instinct is to report the message to Amazon.
I feel that it is a chinese competitor, but I can’t quite wrap my ahead around what their intentions are.
Thoughts? Advice?
