Unusual catalog issue: When adding new GTIN-exempt SKUs, Amazon is mistakenly adding them under existing ASINs. Should I just bite the bullet and get UPCs for all variants to solve?

Why do Amazon sellers do this?
Every time before a “huge sale” I see a bunch of stuff I’ve saved in my cart, up their prices then lower back to “original price” and call it a sale?
For example: 4 days ago, game was $59.99, price goes up to $73.95 2 days ago, sale starts, now...

is customs declaration required for sample size items to be sold in amazon us
planning on bringing some sample size fragrance with me on my flight back to US.
total amount would be around 500ml packed in small bottles.

Parent ASIN inactive due to being out of stock.
Today I noticed that my parent ASIN for my private label FBM products was inactive. This was due to it being out of stock. Two questions
1) Why would the non-sellable parent ASIN need stock? 2) Could this be the reason I have been unable to win the buy box for my own items...
