Amazon asking for too many product images on listing? Can I have multiple of same image?
I was studying the Amazon listing stuff and it looks like they are requesting 6-9 images? That seems too much. I ran an experiment once of selling something into the market and I hade it very easy for the customers to decide. I did this, in part, by only giving them one choice and also not having clutter located physically around the product.
I do not want my customers to feel bombarded with resources to browse through just to make a decision on buying something. Ideally and realistically only 2-3 images should be necessary in reality. I specifically do not want this to be like shopping for clothing online where there are way too many options to sort through just to get to a purchase.
Do we have any creative ways for me to skirt around this unwise guideline? Can I just put the same pic multiple times or is Amazon going to pick up on that?? Just for the record, if this is a real Amazon guideline for quantity of pics I think it’s a bad decision…. My target audience is going to be smart customers not emotionally imbalanced customers.
