Amazon Seller Account Owner Gone, Now What?

Has anyone dealt with having the original Amazon Seller account owner pass away or become otherwise unreachable? We (the company I work for) need owner level access to change the credit card for advertising billing but Amazon refuses to work with us. It’s been a year of back and forth with no resolution.
