Amazon seller with debit card

I have a question. So i applied for an amazon seller account in Europe. The site says you have to link a credit/debit card. Everywhere online i see that you can only use a credit card and not a debit card. I have a master card debit card, and they withdraw 1€ from it. Does that mean my debit card works ? I am so confused around this. If i have to believe amazon it says a debit card works, but i see on all forums it won’t?
